About Us
Our Story
We’re Gail and Janet Rippe and we’re the faces behind Rippe Solutions! We’ve spent our entire lives working in all facets of the beef industry ranging from cow-calf production, heifer development, and seedstock procurement to weaning, backgrounding and finishing cattle. We specialize in reproductive technologies and between us we have over 50 years of experience in the AI industry.
We first met at Heartland Cattle Company in McCook, Nebraska where we spent the next 20+ years at the country’s premier Professional Heifer Development and Research Center. As the time came for that business to transition, Gail moved into a new role with Genex Beef as an Area Sales Manager for the leading AI stud company. Meanwhile, I began to explore the possibility of a new business that would combine my passion for the beef industry and my unique skillset of utilizing technology to create user-friendly solutions for my fellow cattlemen.
Fast forward to a few phone calls and a couple of contract projects later, and Rippe Solutions was born! Our list of projects varies from business consulting, outsourced bookkeeping, synchronization protocols, AI breeding projects, social media management, spreadsheet development, Process Verified Program auditing, database management and more. As varied as it seems, the common thread is that we combine real world experience with user-friendly customized solutions that simplify life and create the progress you need.
One project that quickly surfaced to the top was the development of the RBI Sale Management Software System. Over and over we were hearing from seedstock clients that they needed a better way to manage their production sales. Hand written invoices, Excel spreadsheets and piles of sticky notes were no longer cutting it. You can learn more about how the software came to be on the RBI Sale Management Page.
Outside of our work, we stay busy with our own Angus and Sim-Angus cows as well as our ‘herd’ of dogs. We also spend a lot of time on the road chasing our two kids to their many activities. Our daughter, Allison, is a Registered Nurse at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln, NE where she’s doing her best to teach the urban population about the benefits of BEEF! Our son, Nathan, is an active college student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln majoring in Ag Systems Technology. Both kids can often be found on site helping us clerk sales during the busy season.
